Tis' The Season

Christmas is here again..the celebration of the birth of Christ, our Lord and Saviour. I'm so bless to have my family to spend Christmas with and overall good health.

As I was taking out the Christmas decorations..nicely store away in totes from the basement ...I came across Christmas cards received from family and friends from last Christmas. I open up each and every card to read them again and look at the signature, which no doubt told us who the card was from. As I was reading I found there were two family members and one friend that were no longer with us this season. As I sat and reflect back on my life, and my children life...I couldn't ask for more, yet 2008 did mere to be a tough one. Health issues of my own... trying to understand the pain that my college child had endure during his first year in college...meanwhile still being a wife to and a mother to the youngest child left at home.
Lessons learned from life..without risk..there could be no reward, Another one of my favorites quotes You miss 100% of the shots you never take and one more while I'm at it Life..one journey enjoy the ride.
While sitting and reflecting on changes...I quiet myself, now some would wonder how I managed to do that. I learned to focus on what matter in life, and observed surroundings in a different way. During this reflecting time..there were some rewards missed out on...and then there rewards gained, some would say a reward is a reward. Those rewards that were missed...were truly worth the miss..and those gained are treasured forever. It's all about gaining a new you.
Now on the knitting side of this season..nothing much to post about..I've done a few Tams for gift items...finished up CPH restarted the Tree Jacket. Presently thinking of what the start project for 2009 will be.
God Bless, All of you who stopped by to read this post.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
and last but not least
Happy Knitting
